Access to Recovery

Indiana Access to Recovery (ATR) is a grant program which provides vouchers for the purchase of chemical addiction treatment and recovery support services. This program is funded by the Federal Substance Abuse and Mental Healthy Administration (SAMHSA) and is passed through the State of Indiana, Department of Mental Health and Addiction. This program is driven by client choice.

Indiana Access to Recovery will expand the chemical addiction recovery infrastructure in Indiana to include both faith-based and community organizations that, first, have traditionally not been involved in chemical dependency recovery, and, second, provide recovery support services.

ATR Services are broken into three categories: Recovery Consultation, Clinical Treatment and Recovery Support.

Recovery Consultation – The client will select a Recovery Consultant who will guide them through the process of developing an Individual Recovery Plan and selecting organizations to provide the services called for in the plan.

Clinical Treatment – includes clinical assessment, outpatient, integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders and detoxification.

Recovery Support – includes transportation, continuing care, addiction education, housing assistance, peer services, family and marital counseling, employment services, faith and/or community support, parenting services, supportive education, and alcohol and other drug screening.
